Nick Samac earned an invite to the 2024 NFL Combine later this month. He’s the only Michigan State football player to get an invite.

With college football and the NFL seasons officially over, it’s time to turn our attention to the many exciting offseason events. Recruiting visits and commitments are the highlight for all Michigan State football fans, but there are also a lot of exciting things to watch surrounding the NFL offseason.

The first major event is the NFL Combine which will take place later this month. One Spartan will participate in this year’s combine as he will look to impress scouts in hopes of being drafted in this year’s NFL Draft.

Nick Samac invited to NFL Combine

Michigan State center Nick Samac has earned an invite to participate in the 2024 NFL Combine. Samac had an excellent MSU career and more than deserves this chance to impress NFL scouts.

Samac is a five-year player at Michigan State, spanning from 2019-2023. He played in 49 games throughout his career including 32 starts at center. This past season, he played in 11 games including 10 starts as well.

Unfortunately, Samac suffered a season-ending injury against Indiana in Week 12. This injury prevented him from playing in the season finale against Penn State as well. The injury came at a bad time as he was unable to participate in any senior all-star games after the season ended. These games are another opportunity to impress NFL scouts, so he missed out on a lot of those. Thankfully he will get his shot in Indianapolis later this month at this year’s combine.

Samac is the first Spartan offensive lineman to participate in the combine since Brian Allen in 2019. Last year, Jayden Reed and Bryce Baringer were the two Spartans to participate in this event. Both were drafted as well and had excellent rookie seasons in the league.

The combine will take place from Feb. 26-March 4 with the NFL draft April 25-27 in Detroit.

Samac is the only Spartan with a realistic chance at being drafted, so hopefully he can represent Michigan State and hear his name called on draft night.
